Helmut run his tours in a 8 passenger air-conditioned Micro Bus

 

Tours are as follows:

 

Monday:    Palo Verde National Park &  Guaitil pottery village.

This is a full day 9 hour tour departing between  8 and 10 am depending on the tides.

Palo Verde is a 13,058 hectare flood plain in the Tempisque basin. The tidal  river rises and falls 4 meters giving access to 15 different habitats. The  fauna ranges from crocodiles, monkeys, deer and coatis. It is best known for  its varying bird population.

Enjoy a 3 hour boat trip down the river and visit famous Bird's Island.  Lunch is included and is either at the Chico Cocodrilo Restaurant in  Ortega or with a Costa Rican family in Puerto Humo. After lunch it's off  to Guaitil a community famous for earthenware pottery.

 

Wednesday:   Rincon De La Vieja  Volcano and National Park.

This is a full day with a 6:00 am start from Playa Junquillal.   Breakfast is served at 7:30 am at the German Bakery near Liberia.Arrival at the park entrance around 9:30 am . Hiking in the park is next  until noon. You will see mud pools, thermal waters, vapor geysers and Hornillas (ovens of sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfite). Take a side trail  marked Augas Thermales where you can bathe in small thermal pools that are  42 C.

Lunch is served at Hacienda Guachipelin. After lunch take an optional  canopy tour where you may see Quetzals, Toucanets and three wattled  bellbirds. The trip home includes a stop at a souvenir shop and you should  be home by 6:00 pm

 

Fridays:  Tamarindo Mandingo Sailing  Sunset Cruise

This is a 6 hour trip leaving at 2:00 pm You arrive in Tamarindo around  2:45 and the cruise leaves at 3:00 pm. The cruise includes wine, beer, soft  drinks , fruit and home made snacks. After the cruise spend some time  shopping in Tamarindo, then  back to Junquillal by 8:00 pm.

 

Sunday:   Most Beautiful Beaches  of Guanacaste Tour

This is a 7 hour tour departing at 9:30 am .Enjoy the day walking and  swimming at Playa Real, Playa Brasilito,  Playa Flamingo, Playa Potrero and  Pan De Azucar. Arrive back at Junquillal at 4:30 pm.

 

The maximum number of passengers is 8 for  any tour and the minimum is 3 people.
